Bespoke journeys to the Japan that guidebooks cannot reach.
Founded in Tokyo.
For nine years, I worked in global finance alongside people who were intelligent, curious, and well-traveled. They knew the world. But when they came to Japan, they saw what everyone sees. The temples, the bullet trains, the famous streets. The Japan I knew — its depth, its craft, its quiet ways of living — was never on their map.
That is why SHINN JAPAN exists.
We want people to know the real Japan. Not the Japan that has been packaged for tourists, but the one that has been quietly living here for centuries. Since founding SHINN JAPAN, we have travelled to every region we work with, built relationships that took years to earn, and returned again and again until we understood not just what people do, but why it matters to them.
That is why every journey we build is designed around what genuinely moves people. Not what is famous. But what stays with you.

Ichigo Ichie

At the heart of everything we do is a Japanese concept: Ichigo Ichie.
This moment, this encounter, will never happen again in quite this way. Not the morning light on a temple garden, not the conversation with a craftsman who has spent fifty years perfecting his work, not the meal prepared from what was caught that morning. Each of these happens only once.
That is why every journey we build is designed to honour those moments — to find what exists only here, only now, and only for you.
Immerse yourself in the silence.
Let the singular beauty of Japan
awaken your senses.
The relationships took years to build.
We have visited every region we work with, again and again, until we understood not just what people do but why it matters to them. That trust is what makes the experiences we offer possible.
We speak your language.
Our team works in Japanese, English, and Italian. Nothing gets lost in translation.
We stay responsive.
Travel changes. Plans shift. When they do, we adapt quickly and find the best path forward.
